i can see something like this being usefull, sort of like the console in DOOM.
But you know there is a debug.txt file that logs everything already.
This would require a little bit or rewriting but what if there was a floating label the length of the road runner screen set to invisible by default that changed to a visible state and would display the most common error messages.
for example i click on weather but i dont have weather.skin in my skin folder
i might think weather is just broken but with this label in place i can then make a message fire when a skin is not found so it would send the label caption
"weather.skin not found" in big bold letters across my screen
then set itself back to invisible after 5 10 seconds etc
this could also serve a useful purpose for any msgbox dialogs that have or may been suppresed in the past and for SDK and plugin use
What do you think?

I don't know that there is in any check in place for those currently? For example, RR will attempt to load a skin even if it's missing background images or if winamp is missing etc...
I think simply adding these to the debugger would be the better solution. That way you see if any other commands/functions are causing the problems instead of a label telling you... well, there IS a problem. hehe
EDIT: Cool idea though nonetheless. It would be cool if it was used for RR commands meaning when any command is executed, RR will set the label then fade out or whatever. I could see that being used by skinners and perhaps as an indicator for users.
