working good here too, hats off
the custom commands were the last bit i needed for my skin. Switches to gps fullscreen on turn is nice.

i notice a few people saying they hate the ding sound, you know these are just .wav files. You can replace the ding with a silent sound and never have to hear it again or some other sound thats not so annoying.

One thing i have setup in winamp is volume fade when pause is executed. So when ig speaks it wont stop the music harshly all at once but is more like it turns the winamp volume down then turns it back up when done talking.

also makes the multiple pauses seamless, where she talks for a few sec, then music resumes, then she starts talking again 2 sec later.

    iGuidance Annoying Sounds and phrases

I did this quite some time ago. iGuidance has this nasty habbit of saying "Please find the nearest road", when driving down the center lane of a highway, and the GPS still has a STRONG lock. (I have had it do it in the DEMO mode! )

    That and the "Ding!"

Put either one or both of the files in your iGuidance/Snd folder, and they are a thing of the past. They are just empty .wav files. I suggest backing up the 2 sounds in your IG folder, in case you ever want to revert to having them.

    Thanks for hosting guys.
I gota find a hosting provider for myself. Didn't have that for couple years already.

Anyway, by the end of the month, if there is no more bug found or suggestion, I'll send the code to guino for next release. As you guys know, once an offical release, any bug fix or suggestion will take time.

RPM_VR4, I'll think about your reguest/suggestion. Thing that I would like to do next is the click to import cordinate from gas price page to iG for navigation.
And no I don't have much free time after hrs and on weekend cuz my little boy drive me nut sometime. BTW, he's just turn 1

about the ding that wont fix the whole problem because iG will still switch to the GPS on the ding then switch back quickly right?
Matrix: I current host the RR installer and updater etc, on my ftp server i can get you access if you want so you can host it there, just let me know what you think.

    That's great SangreDeThor.
    Thanks

Okay, regarding to the Ding sound in iG.
The method I use to check when iG giving voice instruction is by comparing volume level. When iG giving voice instruction, it change the volum. By comparing the system volume and when iG alter the volume, that is when it speak. This is not the best method but a working one. The best way is to determine when file in the sound folder was last access, but currently, this method isnt' really reliable because WinXP's TNFS5 iupdate the last access property (file properties) every hour or so.

Hey LS, I know all about terrible 2. My nephew is in that stage now

How about getting a utility app that "locks" the volume control so that iG can't change it. If you could find/build such an app, then you could just make a button to launch it and a button to kill it.

...wait a second, can't you just use iG's mute button to do that?

This is how iG speak .
"bla bla bla lbla bla " stop for a second or so then "ding".
And some time it goes like this.
"ding" stop for a second then "bla bla bla bla"

Before it speak, it change the volume level. So change the file to silence, doesn't help. I am not sure about deleting it.
So if you set "pauseonvoice=true", that will just pause/resume/pause/resume. It's suck that way.
