Auto switch to Guidance screen for iG?

Alright guys, those who PM me with your email addy, check your email. Make sure to unzip it and remove the .txt back to .exe. Gmail doesn't allow to send exe file.

Those of you who can host the file, please do so. That way, other can download from there.

SangreDeThor, you didn't give me your email addy in the PM. To answer your question regarding testing iG without having actual GPS data, Check post #34 of this thread. I post instruction on how to test it by using demo mode of iG.

If you go to GPS screen manually, it will stay there. The only time it switches back to Last Screen is when it auto switch to GPS and
lastscreenswitchtime is set to 0 (0 = disable auto switch back to Last Screen).

Also, I would like user defined custom command for auto-on and auto-exit, but since this is beta, so I hard code "GPS" and "LASTSCR". I just want to make sure that those commands work before doing any custom commands.

In other words is there a way to stop the screen from switching after setting lastscreenswitchtime=[0-10] in rr.ini
RR will always switch to GPS screen (if not already in) when Guidance screen come up.

2 ways to stop from auto switch to Last Screen.
- lastscreenswitchtime = 0 in RR.ini
- Go to GPS screen manually. iG skin name has to be "*gps*.skin

In the days of the iG-RR beta, Guino, I think it was Guino... said that the iGuidance skin name HAD to be external_gps.skin to work correctly for embedding ect. Has this changed now?

I couldnt find the post I am thinking of now, but I did find this one, that sort of references it:

Actually, it was me who said that. But I has a PM chat with guino regarding to the skin name restriction above. Well at the end, we agree that iG should be embeded in any "*gps*.skin". We try to keep RR as the most flexible/customizable (is that the right word?

) FE.

call me stupid but are the *'s in "*gps*.skin" wildcards. This would mean that we can still use external_gps.skin right?

It could be me getting use to SQL statement when using * for wildcard search.
Anyway, what that mean is the skin have to have gps in there regardless whether it is at the start, end or in the middle.

Well the beta will not work with my setup.
I guess it’s the way I have IG setup so RR does not recognize IG.

If I use window name iGuidance in RR with the down set I have in the general.ini it will embed it way off so I have to use the class name !Intellinav so RR will load IG the same way it did before the IG native RR.
