Auto switch to Guidance screen for iG?

Chuck, what different in your setup other than bigger screen resolution?
Did you change iG class and/or caption text?

Try to put this label IGHWND on your skin to see what is the value. It is the window handler for iG when run. If that value is > 0, it should work unless you modified the Guidance screen class and/or caption text.

This is class text and caption text that Road Runner looking for IG
Main iG app: !IntellinavWCls!iGuidance
Guidance screen: !AfxWnd42s!Guidance
If you modified any of those, it may not work. Maybe it still work with Voice instruction, but that depend on your setting on wave level.

Hi!

Well it's almost working perfectly for me... but I have one small question and one problem...
First of all does it only work on speach... is there anyway to make it stay when IG is "zoomed in" when approaching a turn or something...

The second thing is that it doesn't pause the music for me... I've set the Wave volume at 100%, IG volume at 25% or something and the volume buttons is controlling the Master Volume... shouldnt that be enough...

One thing that I didn't like with IGMon was that I never could go lower then the volume I had set in IG, then it would pause the music, sometimes when I have ppl in the car I want to have the music pretty low but still being able to hear the directions from IG...

I use stock IG with no mods or add-ons 2.1.2NA

I have 7 screens with gps
Audio, radio, XM, surius, TV, GPS and GPS full screen

I changed all my window names to iGuidance and the alimement and auto screen switching seems to be ok now but when I switch from gps screen to a different gps screen IG disappears till I hit a command button.

Now I am trying to figure out how to get rid of the disappearing problem.

First, do you have pauseonvoice=true in RR.ini?

When you said "only work on speech", does it automatically switch to GPS screen? If it does, it should work with when approaching a turn (Guidance screen comes on). If it doesn't switch to GPS screen, what is the command you use to run iG?

Setting on master volume doesn't affect the functionality. Setting on wave does affect. You can use EQ on RR or system EQ to adjust that. Then adjust iG volume. The different should be about 5% regardless of which one higher.

What is the skin name for your "other gps screen"? It should be "*gps*.skin" like any of these? audiogps.skin, audio_gps.skin, gpsfullscreen.skin?

I know you already did this, but just do make sure that if you gps skin isn't "External_gps.skin", you should customize the GPS command to use the LOAD command.

Hey Sorry everyone.

My bad. Before I compile to exe, I commended out the code that Pause and Resume music (because the DING sound drive me nut

). The exe you guy have will NOT pause/resume music.

Naesstrom, I'll send the update to you so you can host for everyone to download.

Upon further observation I discovered if I go to any skin and go back to gps IG disappears

Ok, here is the work a round I came up with to keep IG from disappearing.

"GPS","LOAD;EXTERNAL_GPS_ig.skin;Navigation;E:\Program Files\iNav\iGuidance\iGuidance.exe;iGuidance||ACTIVATE;iGuidance||SENDKEY;{RIGHT}{RIGHT}”

ACTIVATE;iGuidance by itself will not work

This way it will redraw the IG screen every time I go to my gps screens.

I know this is not a good way of loading the gps screens but it works for now.

I still think you should have a command for a button to enable and disable this option

1. If you just want to listen to the directions you can
2. If you are in a city with lots of turns your screen is not going wacko

i tried this on the way home today and for some reason iguidance kept closing. It did this everytime the gps screen came back.
