What you mean by "closing"? Switch back to last screen while Guidance screen still on or the lady still talk? Or iG get shutdown?

- It's probably the wave level isn't different much. I suggest at least 5% between EQ setting and iG setting.
- It could also be that lastscreenswitchtime is set to too short like less than 3 second. Try it at 5 seconds.

also make sure that there is no space between the equal (=) sign. It odd but I have one hell of a time debugging that.

lastscreenswitchtime = 5 is NOT okay.

iguidance completely shutdown. my switchtime was 10 but i'll have to check in the car and be sure there's no space as you said.

It's working good here. It does studder and freak a bit i I try to go to another screen when the guidance screen is showing, but thats expectable, as the whole intent is to bring the Guidance screen to the front in the first place.

Great work so far! Having it built into Road Runner is a DEFINATE plus, and not having to use an external plugin/script.

You should be able to prevent this by "Trimming" leading and trailing spaces when reading the line from the ini. Something like lastscreenswitchtime = trim(lastscreenswitchtime) Thats the VBScript code, not sure about VB6, as I have never programmed in it...YET

A couple of suggestions, if their possible:

- A button code defined in the exectbl.ini to toggle screen switching on/off without having to close RR, edit the .ini, and reload RR to change it. EA:iGSwitch, and then possibly the ability to use an indicator to show the "Switching mode" on the iG skin.
- would be great to have the option to drop Winamp's volume by say 25%(definable?) OR have it pause as it currently does (Defined in the ini as well). This one should actually be pretty easy, just a matter of sending Set vol -25%/Current % -vs- Puuse/Play commands

My button now has 4 modes Off, Auto, Auto Full Screen and Auto Full Screen with directions at top always seen.

Well, I have it somewhat working with your code Chuck..... 50% of the time, when I go back to the GPS screen, it does not show until I send a command like zoom. 3D, N ect.

This is a problem that seems to rear it's head now and then, and seems to happen differently on different systems.

I have not doubt the code is working for you, and it was an ingenius way of tackling the problem.

Just for completion sake, it would be nice to have this code right in RR with the rest of it, for simplicity sake, and not need to change the GPS call, alter the ExecTbl ect.

Matrix, would this be hard to put into your code, to have a few variables's for say 4 different events? Such as iGAUtoOff, iGAutoON, iGFull....

I do like the idea of full screen, as it is just a temporary screen, and really does not need to use the standard GPS skin with all the controls ect.

I know a lot of questions, and tossing in some ideas, but this is probably the 2nd best thing to happen to IG for RR since native embedding, and can open the door to a lot of new options.

Here is the VERY simple skin I intend on using for the "Full Screen Auto Pop-up". The entire bar at the top is a button, that links to the main GPS skin for iG.

Anyway add this to all your load line and see if it works. I just got back from a 160-mile trip and everything worked grate.
