    Trojan.PWS.Tanspy in RR install ?!?!?!?

I was runnning my weekly Adware/spyware/virus scan and spyware doctor came back with THIS:

    Trojan detected :

    C:\program files\roadrunner\CDRip\vbalCDRip6.dll
    C:\program files\roadrunner\CDRip\vbalMp3waveDataWriter6.dll

Description: Trojan.PWS.Tanspy will install itself on to an infected computer as a Browser Helper Object (BHO). This Trojan will then be activated each time an instance of Internet Explorer is launched and will attempt to steal passwords.

Before getting upset and never use RR ever again I just wanted to make sure it wasn't some files mistakingly analyzed by spyware doctor as trojan files, because if they really are...this is so wrong!!!

Did anybody ever hear about this?

Turn off heuristic virus detection (which singles out code the anti-virus software only believes could be virulent).
I personally recommend dumping Norton AntiVirus or Mcafee AntiVirus (or their multifunction variants).
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

And, this has come up before, and of course, there has never been a problem. A quick search would have revealed that.

I've scanned my CDRip folder and the CDRip folder used for the Installer I created, with AVG, Adaware (Professional Edition), and SpyBot Search & Destroy (did full system scan) and found nothing.

It's possible because his virus definitions are newer or older then yours. It is possible because he has everything in the world checked while you have few things, in particular, the Heuristic whatever the hell it is.

I'm guessing it's the heuristic too, because other than that which I don't use, (because it almost always gives false positives), I have all my defs up-to-date and overall run a very tight system. The things I do, I have to minimize the risks... though no system is truly secure unless unplugged, crushed flat and thrown in the ocean...

Burned or melted. Ocean would not be safe.
