Thread: relaunch of hqct-plugin

yeah what guino said. I was forced to use the cd line in on my mII12k but i use an audigy2 notebook card for sound output. I use the line in plugin for winamp, then tell roadrunner to use it. It took me a bit when i got my HQCT to figure it out, but it outputs on all speakers and sounds just fine(minus the slightly static fm when I leave the city....)

Btw. I tested the new rrhqct and it tends to pop up in front of roadrunner now for a few seconds before it minimizes. the old one never popped up at all just automatically minimized. its not that big of a deal, just thought id mention it.

I have installed plugin downloaded the latest RR beta. When I check the "Use Line-In Plugin" box in rrconfig the only thing I can hear is the noise and a little radio on the background.

Do I have to change the default "line://title=Radio,srate=44100,bps=16,nch=2" to something else?

source code is available for download on www.datalex.be and on www.xtronic.be.
it is both Roadrunner compatible as stand-alone usable.
simply replace the previous RRHQCT.exe for this new one and Roadrunner will do the rest.
The form of this version stays visible behind RR, so if you need to modify volume or tone settings (of the tuner) you can do so by minimising RR, do your thing and then maximise RR again,

Do you mean mute "Line-In" in audio properties? I did, now there is no noise. But radio still playing on two front speakers.

First off, I did some more tweaking with this noew RRHQCT today. i turnred down the volume some on the rrhqct software and it fixed almost all of my crackling. the fm sounds really good now. the AM was always flawless, but this new version made the FM 150% better. so I must start out by saying thank you.

Evo....how you have everything setup depends alot on how you have your wiring. Ill explain mine.

I have onboard sound on the motherboard, but I dont use it. I use the audigy card for output in the PCMCIA slot. so I output from the HQCT into the cd-in on the motherboard. That forces me to use the winamp line-in plugin. so winamp grabs the line from the oboard and outputs it to the sound card. in roardrunner i just selected radio to line in, and im pretty sure that was it. I also didnt edit the lne in command stored in road runer at all.

How exactly do you have your wiring for your sound. and you say you can hear radio slightly? is it only radio or are you hearing radio and mp3 at the same time? need more info to trouble shoot. it took a little bt to get mine up and running, but after wards, its been rock solid.

The radio is working well. That’s when I checked “Use Line-In Plugin" box in rrconfig under Radio Configurations I started to hear a lot of noise and a little radio on the background. Then Guino suggested to mute line-in. I muted and now there is no more noise but radio is still playing on two front speakers only.

I'm using internal 6 channels soundcard on my VIA board. HQCT connected to "CD Audio" on the motherboard. Everything working on four speakers except Radio.
