    gonna have to do some testing then, cause it works fine here.. can send me a small log of your GPS data ? I'm wondering if the format is different on your GPS.

    Just open Hyperterminal with the port at 4800-8-N-1-None and the data from the GPS will show, then just copy and paste any of the $GPRMC lines from there on here.

    yeah, your GPS has the date format inverted from mine (which I assume is the standard).. mine has the date in DDMMYY and yours has the US format: MMDDYY interesting -- or to be honest, that kind of stinks how GPSs with the same protocol (NMEA) have such type of discrepancies in the data format.
