I've found a little app that will set the computer time from the GPS is this something that could be added to RR or is it even worth it?

not that i'm volunteering to do it as programings not my thing I wish it was

to be honest, it would be an easy thing to code into RR, wouldn't need any extra programs, as long as RR is set up to get the GPS data, this would normally mean having a port slpitter to split the data between RR and your navigation program.

note to self: have a look at FreeDrive source and see if that can be added to that.

Well it all depends on what you are using. It would be nice to have the option.

I mean if you are using FreeDrive and it has the option, the RR having it isn't necessary. However if you are using iGuidance, or any other Navigation where there is no local development, then you would need your Front End to have it.

Anyway I have the FD source open in front of me, so will have a look.

Just had a look at the FD source, and it seems that the time and date aren't available from the dest.dll

I've added such option for next release, it will adjust the time based on the time zone setting on windows. Before you ask, there's no way for me to detect the current GPS position's time zone unless somebody finds a way to convert Lat/Lon to time zone (i.e. table, etc).

VERY nice Quino! This will come in VERY handy for those of us that do not use the Internet in the car (except for the rare occasion to look up something through our cell's ect).
