    Copy & Paste

Wow! the changes look great! the Undo is a GREAT addition! Especially when selecting something, that is slightlu over something else and you accidentially move what you did not intend to in the first place.

Ok, a request, that I would really like to see, if possible:

Ability to copy and paste. This would come in handy when doing lables/lists, that have numerous color, size, BG color, Foreground color, Highlighted color, unhighlited color Font, font size, font color ect ect......

To be able to copy that, and just change the command code or font lable would make life so much easier.

First and foremost I am SO excited to see someone adopting this project - the thanks is huge... I love the zoom - but a few quick questions:

    - I did not see the VIRTUAL EDITOR present as LS mentions which is in the previous build (saw your see changes but grabbed load and did not see it)

    - The XPOS/YPOS - is this part of the deleting garbage piece? Meaning you leave those in place and dynamic scaling which the editor had been ripping out.

    - Can u or the crew explain a good purpose for Drag-Drop since I had not tested yet.

From what I can see you look to have an INI offering us some power to add into the editor correct?

    Thanks again...

Many thanks - but all of these are great adds and just curious.

Uh, no thanks. Guys, yesterday I was editing a skin and I wanted to able to drag objects around instead of having to use the keyboard. I didn't know someone implemented that already so I did it myself. Then I got in the coding mode and worked on some more stuff. Today I just copied and pasted most of those changes into Profit's version. I have no idea what this "Virtual Editor" of which everyone speaks is. The version I got this morning was off of Profit's site. The editor suits my own needs perfectly at this point as I have zero intention of ever doing more than a little light skin editing. But if there's yet another version of the editor floating around, you can tell me where to find it and I'll update it. I doubt I'll be working on this much more. (I might change the way I did the comments, though, and do it the way Guino suggested in another thread. Maybe.)

This is the latest skin editor with a virtual editor. I think all changes should be made on this source file. RRSkinEditor BUGS / FIXES / COMMENTS / CURRENT PROGRESS OUTDATED

That's the source I used. In that thread he says it's not up to date though.

Yep. You are correct. The binary file has the virtual editor whereas the source file does not.

Okay i tried it, so what does undo/redo do? Does it only undo/redo object names or does it keep track of moving objects and such? I tried to move something then undo and it was greyed out. Although i did add an object then change some text and undo and that did something. only once though.

Undo/redo is going to be hard due to the way the program was originally layed out. If someone had thought to add undo/redo from the begining it may have been easier to track everything the editor does.

Currently i have a simple undo redo for the virtual editor in my latest version. I was planning on adding undo/redo to the main editor.

Yah from the version i have on my website linked is version 0.3.015 and im working on version 0.3.023 and 0.3.22 is the current release.

From .015 to Version .022 there has been a lot of fixes to the program. Current release now supports comments. It may look wierd but they stay and im adding a space seperator between objects to make it easier to read. And unknown objects wont crash the system but they may cause extra commas when saved...not sure yet need more testing on that.

Where in the rrskin editor did you add undo redo? It may be better then what i did for the virtual editor. I know on the menubar....how does it track changes? did you make a seperate module or just add code to the main rrskineditor.frm? Guess i could spend a couple minutes digging through code.

Next time i will before i start programming again
Um, I guess this is where you put something witty.WITTY
