I don't think Curiosity update the version string when compile to exe. I had like 4 different version of xport3 and they all 1.03. The different among them is the date crated. V1.06 is dated in Aug of this year, and it is the only version release in the past year (V1.05 was in Dec 2005).
The only thing I am not 100% sure it is 1.06 is that on his site, the snapshot has an ability to turn on devices after hibernate (something like devcon script.) There are checkboxes next to usb devices. The one I download doesn't have that.

Well i did try that and it still doesn't help. I have to end task on xport and restart it to resume functionality. It seems to be trying to do something cause my location arrow/indicator in iguidance flashes grey to red every 5 seconds. Right now i will have to live without the speed indicator in road runner.
