    Sirius Rasio player and IRBlaster

    I am a Mythtv user, using IREXEC to change channels.

    I was thinking, I have a Sirius tuner that takes a remote control.

    Is it possible to use something like IR BLASTER and a regular Sirius tuner to run Sat radio into RR, with tuner info on the screen and would this be incredibly difficult?

    Notice I am a new RR user, still getting a system running, and still learning.

    This is just a question, exploring possibilities.

    This is looking more and more interesting.

    Seems like with the remote codes, Winlirc (free), and an IRBLASTER ($12) this may work.

    I'll be experimenting with it I think, as I get my CarPC ready.

    With cheap units available (I got my Xact XTR3CK for $30 last Christmas), could be better then the SIR-ALP1 and USB board. Or at least an inexpensive alternative.

    Now I just need to learn how to integrate this stuff into RR.
