    MapPoint 2006 Voice Prompts

I'm using RoadRunner's current beta. When I run MapPoint by itself, it provides voice prompts. When I run it inside RR (activeX control), I get text but no voice. Anyone experiencing similar behavior, and does anyone have the voice prompts working?

RR has built in functions for directions/voice guidance -- independent on Mappoint (since older versions did not really support driving guidance). As long as you have voice enabled in RRConfig and you use RR's screens to set the route, it should work.

I'm having the same problem as CSharper. RR doesn’t speak directions. The direction indicator image doesn’t work either. I noticed that in the route list stays highlighted on the first item.

I’m using latest RR Beta, MapPoint 2006, and Voice is enabled in RRConfig.

it will only speak if you're following the directions as noted, and you must create it while not on a highway/freeway... I'll test it again to be sure, but it should work.

Any suggestions where the problem could be?

The direction indicator only works with FD and MM (it was never made to work with mappoint).

The route list should highlight the following direction, if that's not happening, there's something wrong happening. As long as you're following the directions as listed, and you have created the route while not on a highway/freeway, it should be working. Also, double check you have mappoint.ini in place -- if anything, replace it with the original one.
