Parent dir ".." in the Listbox

I would really like to have an entry like

    <parent> or
    ..

in the audio browser. Background is that I am planning to control RR via cursor keys+enter. That way one could browse through the archieve without clicking.

Is this implemented yet? If so - where? Can't find it...

If not... wouldn't this be a great idea? Switchable for those who don't like it...

there already is a .. entry that takes you up one level

and you can also already navigate RR alone with just the left, right arrow keys and Enter button.

    In rr.ini,

    hidedots=true|false
    Hide ".." from File Browsers.

Now I know why I did not find it: There was no such entry in my rr.ini. Added it - works!

But that leads to more questions:

    1. I don't have the ".."-dots when navigating through the Ipod. Can I turn that on somwhere else?

    2. In the audio browser I have two Listboxes: The Browser and the playlist. I can only find one up and down button set for both of them together, using the active listbox. How do I set up a Scroll-Panel seperately for each box? (What I used is PGDOWN, which works for the last selected one)

    3. Is there any complete reference to rr.ini? Seems that in mine some entries are missing...

Found an answer to question 3 (looking for this since ages):

    RRHelp File 11-12-06

But the rest is still unclear to me.

1-".." will only display for folders -- if you're browsing a media library or an ipod library it won't show since those are not folders on the hard drive (and how I wish they were).

2-You can make separate buttons for each list, just use SELDL/SELPL to select the list first.. like SELDL||PGDOWN etc..

That's true, but what about <back> or something like that? Right now you can only go back via a button, which in my case is rather stupid (controlling via arrows + enter).

Something like showback = true/false in the rr.ini

Browsing libraries is limited in a way that you can't go back one level, that is, if you wish to go back you have to start over, so there's really not a reason to put that in there. If you're controlling using the keyboard arrows, you can easily assign the left arrow to the "BACK" command which would even save you from having to scroll all the way to the "back" option in the list. I have the same thing in a remote control and it does great.. LEFT=BACK, RIGHT=BROWSE, ENTER=SELECT, UP/DOWN are standard.
