    Momentary Freeze

Hey i am having an issue with RR freezing anywhere between 5-30 seconds at any given time. the pc does not freeze just RR and a few other services.

My touchscreen and shuttle express will not respond. Also the time and all displays on the screen stop updating. Once it recovers all is wokring again.

    CPU load is not 100%
    XM radio continues playing
    MP3's continue playing
GPS will continue working and updating.

But i cannot change volume or song and get any response from the pc unless i use my shortcut key to kill roadrunner.exe

This happens like 2-3 times a day.
    any ideas?

Im running windows XP SP2 on a T30 thinkpad with SB Audigy 2zs notebook.

"Freeze" at 0% CPU load normally are cause by Hardware. The most common is when RR doesn't get any reading from the GPS port then closes and re-opens the port in hopes to restart the device. Many BlueTooth adapters will freeze for even a few seconds searching for the device in range and that "freezes" RR at 0% -- this is not RR's fault it's your Bluetooth adapter taking longer than it was supposed to. You should either make sure the device is available or disable it to prevent those kinds of issues.

I removed my bluetooth after having other issues a while ago. However i am running xport 3 so i wonder if there is an outstanding issue. I will try disabling GPS and xport to see if it helps. I am not running any flash skins. Im running Alpine Green with no car logo. Are there any other script type programs that run in the background in RR that would cause the computer to "freeze" as if its looking for something? Would it make a notation in the debug txt file?

Thanks for the quick response and ill post back my findings after 24hrs of testing.

Once again thanks for a great product!
