    rr window off center

    Ok guys, i know i saw the answer for this but i cant find it anywhere. doing a search for window or screen in the rr forum is almost useless.. anyway, onto my problem. im loading all my software onto a new hard drive i installed in my car pc. when i loaded rr and fired it up, the window is off center i tried both aspect ratios 4:3 and 16:9. its almost like its not set to 0,0 (or whatever the proper setting is...) here is a quick pic i snapped with my cell phone. what simple thing am i missing?

    Set your resolution to 800X600. I did the same thing, took me a while to figure it out.

    there is a file called general.ini that is located inside of each skins folder.

    inside of this file you will see these values

    OriginalWidth=800
    OriginalHeight=480
    ShowWidth=800
    ShowHeight=480
    XPosition=0
    YPosition=0

    edit the X and Y pos to be 0
    I think the default install of the BMV2 skin has offsets, not sure why.

    If you want to change the resolution the skin is displayed at, edit the ShowWidth and ShowHeight. Leave the OriginalWidth and OriginalHeight alone.

    Screen Off center

    Looking at that picture, it dosent seem to be a general.ini issue, as even with the wrong display resolution, it SHOULD still start in the top left corner of the monitor.

    Secondly, looking at the logo in the center, you have a flash issues as well. (The white box around your car logo should not be visible ) That can cause major CPU hogging, and bringing your computer to a standstill. Check the FAQ section at the top of the forums on how to resolve this.

    1-change the screen resolution to 800x600
    2-change the showwidth and showheight setting of the skin to 800 and 600 (if not already that)
    3-Follow the FAQ on installing FLASH to get rid of the white box

    The skin is showing "off" center probably because the resolution is less than the size of the screen. But do check if x/y position in general.ini are both 0.
