    Don't Get Many XM Channels

Hi - I am using Road Runner with a serial cable to connect to an XM Direct tuner. All appears to be connected and configured properly as I do get some channels and I get audio. But, the most I ever get in the list is 27 channels. Generally I only have 001-014, but sometimes a refresh gets it back up to 027.

Have I messed up the configuration? Here is how it looks...

I didn't touch anything in the "Use Line-In Plugin" box, and don't even know if I need that checked. It seems to work the same checked or not. I do have the audio via line-in and I am on Serial COM port 1.

Here is a picture of the XM screen from Road Runner. Note I have full strength on the signal, and in the shot below I actually have up to channel 026.

I click the swirling arrows button to refresh the list and sometimes it gives me a couple or a couple less, and sometimes it whacks all channels but number 001 from the list.

What is the eye ball looking button next to the refresh button?

I actually called XM tonight and they confirmed my account was active and should be functional, and just said they would boost my signal or something like that. That was 3 hours ago, and it has not gotten any better.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Complaining here must have been the start of the fix... As soon as I hit post above I clicked refresh again and I am to a new high of 68 channels. Still not right, and I have been messing with it for hours.

    XM Cache

Check THIS thread, and give that a try. That forces all the channels to be in the list. Hopefully then you are able to tune to them.

I have a new favorite MP3Car member... You are the man!

That fixed it, and I guess I didn't know what terms to search for in order to fix it without bugging anyone.

    Thanks!

Technically, shouldn't I be your favorite member Well then again, I had the same problem a while back and asked the same question so I guess technically it all comes down to guino being everyone's favorite member.

    Feel the love!
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?
