    Trying to find a simple .exe to say stuff in RR
    “Run;speech.exe| welcome to Road Runner”

    RR has to many issues for me with the say command

    I did find this one but the stupid character always pops up
    AgentSay.exe

    Any help would be appreciated

    Here is the one I am using. Place it in the root of C:\ Make a Folder in the root called Sounds and put your sound files in that folder. Then the Code is
    "RUN;C:\PlayFile.exe|C:\Sounds\Your Sound.wav"
    and thats it. Works only with prerecorded files. If you want make some files for you, goto this website.

    Well I finely found one after 100’s of searches and 1000’s of web pages

    command line through a SAPI 4 text-to-speech engine

    samples

    Code:
    "ONSONGSTART","BYVAR;VOICESAY;<<SAYSONG"
    "SAYSONG","SETVARBYCODE;SAYTHIS;TRACKNAME||GOTOSAY

    "HOLDTOSAVE","SETVAR;SAYTHIS;Hold to Save||GOTOSAY"

    "GOTOSAY","BYVAR;VOICESAY;<<RUN;$CHUCKSPATH$Installs\Speak\Speak.exe|$SAYTHIS$"
    This will have to do till RR say command is fixed

    Chuck, for just anouncing the the trackname and the artist there is an much easier way. I use a plugin for winamp called TellMeWhatsPlaying. No code to wright and it works like a charm. It will read the file name directly from the playlist on song change. Give it a try. Here is the link.

    MGD did you have a way to make playfile.exe to play wav files to a specific sound card and not the default!!
