Guino: Please help with Autoskinmode

Guino, do you have any documentation to help me with "autoskinmode".
I have this working in BMV2, but for some reason it always changes to my night skin at 6:01PM which is about two hours too late at this time of year.

Is there any way to correct this ?

Did you check the setting in the RR.ini file ?

or, more likelly, the "DayTime" and "NightTime" settings in the general.ini file of your skin(s)

What settings in the RR.ini file

If you mean :- autoskinmode=0. It's there.

They don't work

For Instance:- I've got NightTime=4:00:00 PM. The skin changes at 6:01 PM

What's going off ?

Are you sure you're not using the auto-skin feature from GammaControl ?? in that case that's where you should be configuring it. The only auto-skin feature I know in RR was made by Skippy and all I know is it works with some fancy calculation of GPS location and current time/date.. so it's fully automatic.

In Your skin directory there is a general.ini

ex: C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Skins\LSX_VOID_NIGHT\general.ini

open it in notepad and check these lines:

OriginalWidth=800
OriginalHeight=480

Thanks Guino, it was the Skippy one that most interested me and for everyone's info I have managed to find out more detail....see the thread :-

The use of RR ConfigGPS puts settings in the RR.ini and can be used manually and automatically, as detailed in the above thread.

If the Gamma offset works in GPS mode as well as manual mode (which I'm trying in the car today) it will allow the Time Zone to be adjusted, if not, then the manual mode can be used and adjusted for seasonal variations by the Time settings OR the Gamma offset, both in RR.ini
