MAtrix thats exactly what i did, but when i click the TV button on the skin is open. I open my TV preset folder and i can see all my *.tvc channels but when i open my channels.ini there is nothing in there but "0".

And i know my TV works coz i use WinTV2000 and i use winamp and works fine i think its something with the channels.ini. I should have the *.tvc just like the radio.ini

Its weird and i just cant figure out what have i missed or done wrong

this is starting to sound like a possible bug involving spaces on the tvpresets path. Would you please try moving/copying the .tvc files to something like C:\TV\ and setting the tvpresets=c:\TV\ ? if it works, then I know what to look at.

1-check in the winamp file type associations list, verify if .TVC is associated
2-Check/try a different winamp version -- just in case.

guino, I installed the latest version of winamp 5.33 and nothing still have the same problem i even name the file WinTV/tv just incase the its restricted to the number of characters. the only way it will work is i have to run winamp from windows then go to open file and select a channel, once i do that i go to RR click on the button and see the channel. Ofcourse doing this i dont see any channel listing on the left side only "1." but when i use the P+ and P- i can change channel. Thats very weird. Like i said my Radio works perfectly so does my XM.

Two things i want to mention and maybe that might make u capture stg that i am missing.

    1. Well in the Road Runner Folder there is a WinTV folder (C:\Road Runner\WinTV\) i dont use that. I installed my WinTV files in a WinTV folder the path is C:\Program Files\WinTV\

    2. I looked at the channels.ini thats created in the C:\Program Files\WinTV\tv\channels.ini the only value is "0", i looked into the C:\Road Runner\radio.ini - notice the paths - and there were channels example 0921, preset 1, etcc.

So I added values in the channels.ini and once i click the tv button in RR the file gets reseted to "0" and everything i typed in gets deleted the only thing will be there is "0" which what was there to start with.

Well I hope i am not confusing u, i am just trying to write down everything just incase u see something that i am missing.

So you think there is a bug or am I doing stg wrong. From the forum it seems its an easy setup and i am the only one having a problem WEIRD!!!

    Appreciate all your help

Guino, I figured it out and I dunno if there is anything maybe you can do in future versions of rr.

What happened is whenever i install something I guess i had to go into rr.ini and reselect to refresh. Its basically like when i write a C++ code or fortran i have to build, compile and then execute.

So i never went into rr.ini and re-selected winamp when i installed the TV plugin so it kept the old settings that I dont have plugins. Well i went in and reselected the winamp and everything works fine.

But thanx for all ur tips and recommendations.

Hello, i know that it is a old thread but i have one question

I ordered a terratec T5 usb DVB-T stick. It doesnt have WDM drivers.
And Winamp tv plugin only accepts WDM drivers...

Is it possible to get that terratec t5 stick working with Winamp TV plugin..

    Best regards
    TimoA
