    Updating Weather data

I've noticed that the data for the Weather screens only updates when RR is re-started and not after coming out of Hibernation. As I use Hibernation a lot, and some times don't re-boot RR for days this data can lag behind a day or two.
Is there any way it can be updated from the Weather screens, or is it possible to make an "update" button, and if so, what would the command be ??
    Anyone ?

Just noticed something else. In the 5 day summary Tuesday (today) is highlighted in a yellow font, presumably that's correct. But Wednesday (tomorrow) is scrolling.
Is that how it's supposed to be ? Just the next day scrolling ?

Text option set to scroll when the characters are too many to view in the label/font size, as in Wednesday. The highlighted color text option is for the current day of week as you posted.

PS: Anyone got the Weather_map.jpg to go with the weathermap.skin. This jpg is missing in the latest MBV2 download ??

The weather maps are not supported with the BMV2 skin. It is a combination of the skin jpg's, and scripts to Download the weather images and save them locally.

You can check out my skin in my signature, as it has the necessary images, and scripts to do the weather maps. The weather maps are loaded from an ini file you can edit for the maps of you choosing.

As for the scrolling, you can edit the weather.skin, and increase the date label just a little bit to prevent it from having to scroll. Thats what I did in my skin, now none of the dates/days of the week scroll.

Thanks for the info John. I will certainly edit the weather.skin.

I've looked at your skin in the past and it is superb, but as with lots of other people I have customised my present skin to my liking and I am reluctant to change. For instance, I'm in the UK and I still prefer to use MapMonkey, but at the same time I fully understand why in the States IGuidance might be the preffered Nav solution because of map coverage etc.

It's just a pity that development hasn't been a bit more structured so that plugins and features weren't a bit more "bolt on" rather than, at times a PHD exercise for the brainy amongst us. Nevertheless, RR is still a very enjoyable ride.
