Has anyone had nay issues with there master volume and the volume on Winamp (via Road Runner)
Not entirely sure what’s going on but this is it in brief…
Master volume (known as ‘Sounds and audio devices in the control panel’) at full and unmated with roadrunner (or Winamp) volume at full. Then turn down via Roadrunner to say 50%
Power off over night.
Next day Master volume at 50% unmated and roadrunner volume is also at 50% as set by the previous day when last used.
Go turn to turn the Roadrunner volume up (or down) and the volume auto resets to 0% (on Road Runner), I turn the volume up to 100% on Roadrunner but the Master Volume will only be at half way.
My only option then is to close (or shrink) roadrunner, go into the master volume through the control Panel and reset to full.
Its as if the master volume isn’t direct controlled by Winamp player
Any suggestions?

Car : Hyundai Tucson
Carpc :
Lilliput 7" touchscreen indash 90% done
PSU : M2-ATX
Epia M10K /512DDR/80GB Maxtor
Software : Windows XP Pro 100% done
RR with DigitalFX skin
In car : 80% done
i found that if i take the RR volume down to 0% when turning off, when i power up i can turn the volume up and its sync'ed with the master volume..
Of course this would have to be done everytime you turn your pc off
Its a short term fix
Just for the heck of it try putting voice=false in the rr.ini file and see if anything changes.
sounds like you guys have some other program in the background messing with volume (Phoco, IG, or any voice/sound application running) -- I know RR and winamp don't do squat to the volume during hibernation/resume.

yeah i have that same problem too. only mine is more like this. (btw im using the alpine skin) so im in music and the volume says 100%, ill touch the volume down button to lower the volume and it says volume 95% but the volume goes down all the way. ill hit volume up till it says 100% but volume isnt 100% so ill keep hitting up and eventually the actual volume will be back up to 100%. sorry did that make any sense.
I've noticed the same issue, using a vanilla version of RR. (january release)
::edited out a LOT of -now useless- info::
using the almighty search function and about 2 hours of time, I came across this thread..
Toggling the volume in RR mutes Master Volume
it suggests in rrconfig, changing the line"map master volume to control linefor weak sound card) from All Lines to Master or Wave.
Simply Setting it to Master took care of the 0% volume level after adjusting in RR.
Hope that helps someone.
thanks over there i'll give it a try. oh and another thing after the last rr update things got a little messy like my date is backwards and stuff like that.
the date might be backwards becuase the UK read it different to the US Cousins.
Changed the setting to master instead of all on the volume settting in Music (RR config)
