I don't know if this thread can help you. But its worth a shotNotice :- Flash speed with albumart
How come that some Flash files just wont run in Road Runner?
Also, when I run a Flash File outside Road Runner it uses ALOT less CPU Cycles when embedded. Is the there a way to change some setting?

I remember adding an option to make the Flash object "SOLID" which allowed it to be much faster while embbeded in RR. The transparancy is what tends to make Flash slow down, but (sometimes) also allows for cool looks and integration between the skin and Flash.
EDIT: Just add ,SOLID at the end of the normal F definition

Just added ,SOLID to the Flash file but the clock is still not working embedded. Why is it running outside but not inside of Road Runner?
i've never had a problem. can you post the source?

how are you embedding it? There are 2 ways i know of, one is creating the flash file as a .exe and embedding it as a normal application and the other is using the F line in the .skin.
We cant really say why its not working till we know how you are doing it and what your command looks like.
That skin looks sweet btw.

i have joost invites, just hit me up for one.
I tryed it both ways. First I used the F definition and it embedds just fine but the clock is not working. Then I used the A definition with the window title as "Macromedia Flash Player 7" that was winspector tells me then the clock works but shows the menu bar. Look at the screen shot. othe clocks work but some don't.
If you have the .fla file you can add this- fscommand("showmenu",false) –to it and get rid of the top menu for the exe one. But do not run as a .swl after that or RR will talk and say show menu.
Thx Guino. Your ",SOLID" tip along with CDRSkulls "J" tip have made the Xeon skin usable on my 1Ghz carpc![]()
