iguidance closes on skin switch

using the 4-11-07 version when i switch skins, iguidance gets closed. this is only a problem when running the gps around when the sun is setting and rr changes from day to night skin and the destination is cleared. i didn''t think the setting for closing embedded apps on exit would make any difference but i've disabled it and it still does the same thing. does this happen to anyone else?

finally someone else that has this problem.. its the most annoying thing ever to me. It has something to do with iG Native. I will set a route.. change to a skin and randomly the route gets cleared when i switch back to my iG screen. I mentioned this in the iGNative thread awhile ago but noone seemed to have the same issue. Its skin-independent... doesnt matter which version i'm iG i'm using and i cant seem to come up with a reason why it happens... as far as i know u cant even send a command to iG to clear the route.. there's no keycommand for it.

You guys are not the only one who has this problem. I am too, but 4-11-07 release is the only version I have problem with.
I'll take a look at the code to see what happen.

FYI..

I have also noticed this while working on my OCR app...another command that closes iG is "reloadskin"

The fix I posted also taking care of the reloadskin command as well because reloadskin execution is also within the skin selection block.

iG is probably crashing/closing because it's embedded INSIDE RR's screen, and not being unembedded before the screen is unloaded. It shouldn't be hard to compare the application title and if iGnative=true just unembed it first, then everything should work as usual. Maybe MatrixPC already fixed it ? :|

i just tried upgrading to the latest 11-02-07 version of rr and this bug appears to have resurfaced. i've gone back to using the 4-30-07 version that had this fixed for the time being but i thought someone might want to know.

i'm also having my iguidance close out randomly when i'm not longer on that screen. i dont know if it has something to do with the screen leaving memory after visiting several screens in between or if it has to do with some bug in ignative (which i am using along with autosw). can someone please further explain how to correct this?

There is a new setting in the rr.ini, sorry, I do not know who added it *matrix?), and I just saw it on the forums some time ago, tried it, and it works. I see no mention of it in this thread, so hopefully if someone else stumbles upon this thread, it will help them.

Put this line in the rr.ini:

EmbedAppList=iGuidance

This should keep RR from reloading iGuidance when the skin is switched / reloaded.
