Try Setting the VIS to "OTHER" in RRconfig with this window title: !Winamp Ge!AVS
Is there a way to make the AVS Visu stay in focus when switching betweens with an embedded VISU?
Milk Drop works fine for this, and "locks in" when switching screens. The AVS however, goes behind RR, and you must then turn off the visu, and then turn it back on. Couldn't the routine that "Keeps the Milk Drop Visu from screen to screen", be applied to the code that handles the AVS Visu?
Also, the AVS Visu does not always lock correctly into the defined APP area. It's kind of hit and miss.
Here is the Visu on my main menu:
Here it is on the audio screen where it is supposed to be:
And here is what happens quite frequently when trying to embed it, it "remembers" the top bar location from the main menu, and does not embed where it is defined.
You can see from the 2nd screen cap, that the area is properly defined for the visu to "lock to", but its hit and miss if it actually locks into the correct spot or not.

I had it set to AVS and the same window title you mentioned above "!Winamp Ge!AVS". If I switch it to OTHER with that window title, it will embed on the next screen called 50% of the time. It also loses transparency using OTHER, as well as the Visu window then has the border and title bar visable.

yes, and johnwpb knows about this, if you use milkdrop in the same fashion, it works perfectly. but milkdrop has problems with standby and occasionally hibernate.

Yea, Milkdrop works perfectly when switching between skins with a Visu embedded. It just does not support transparencies![]()

We can make milkdrop transparent if you want... :P
Honestly, I have never done much code in RR to support Vis other than in a single screen, what works or not right now is merely coincidence.. I'll have a look at it sometime..

Something new in this Thread. I would like to use AVS and have the same problems like Lohn
i have found some bug in avs :
don't work the "nextavs" command
if i activate avs in the main main menu it works, next i go to the music menu and if i return to the main menu the skin don't visualize avs but it is active in background! if i press "visu" button to switch it off/on it return in the main menu
