The web plugin is based on old sources, it needs to be updated.
ok so the new rrskin editor replaces every .skin with "RoadRunner Skin" instead of "MediaCar skin".. that had to be done eventually..
meanwhile it is causing problems with the WEB-plugin not loading..
i spent 1 hour just to figure out that this was the cause..
the web plugin expcects a "MediaCar skin" in the "wbrowser.skin" .. and not finding "MediaCar skin" on the 1st line causes the "no valid skin found..." error.
so i guess it is now a web plugin bug..
EDIT..ok the 1st line has to be changed to "mediaCar Skin" in the OSK.skin aswell or else it does not work..
So I don't really use Skin Editor anymore to edit my skin. Should I go back and replace all the "MediaCar Skin" w/ "Road Runner Skin?"
Pico-ITX / XP Home with EWF-HORM / RR v12/02/2009 / Winamp v5.13 / RRMedia v1.2.2
in fact i would urge Guino to remove skin compatability of declaring media car in next version..
media car was 2% fo what RR is
by the way removing that
Open Source Media Car Clone"
from the front ends forum sections aswell should be done soon.
clone <= of something else
clone >= of something else
It won't matter if you leave it as MediaCar.. it would make more sense to have it as RoadRunner since your skin probably does not work right in MediaCar.. I will not remove support to MC skins because there's nothing that prevents anyone from using a original or modified MC skin in RR, and it does not affect the performance of RR in any way.
Nomader is right however.. when this project started RR did not have all of the features of MC .. but today there's a whole lot more in RR than in MC.. so that expression "clone" is not appropriate anymore... -- I don't have access to edit that description though (only supermods do).
