MGD, no one touched FMPRESET, fyi, u should look at the better way to save presets
look at the carwings example
and also, i just tested the command, works fine...
remember this type of presets are stored in the FMPresets dir
Updated to the new version 4/1/09 now the command "FMPRESET;PRESET1" does not work anymore. It will save the frequency currently displayed by holding the button but it will not recall the saved frequency by clicking the button, instead it will override the preset.

It was working fine with the MARCH issue. I was running both, March and April. The last one is not working.
like i said, i tested it, right when you posted.. it works fine... prob a skin issue, or file issue... is it saving the files in the fmpresets dir?
with the CORRECT frequency in the file?
-Thanks

I used the installer and there is no fmpresets Dir. Should the installer create one?
Like I said, my skin was working fine with the March issue.
NO, the installer doesnt create it
if it was working in MARCH, id think u would have the FMPRESETS dir
(but i forget when filemanager took control)
That is the problem... u need to create the dir FMPresets, and copy all ur presets there...
i feel this was mentioned...
I dont use this OLD method to save presets, like i said look at carwings radio player skin...
I will add dir creation to code
-Thanks

FOR THE RECORD:
copy your .fm preset files to a dir FMPrests (example, C:\Program Files\RideRunner\FMPresets)
since the internal file manager keeps them in a directory now or since 3/11/09![]()

it's little things like this that reinforce my way of going about presets and things of that nature, things that can be saved as a simple string.......things that can just as easily be saved as a variable in skin.ini
i dont doubt that it works, but i also prefer to have all of my main settings and such be all stored in 1 ini, instead of independant files when possible
Planning: [|||||||||-] 90%
Purchased: [|||||||||/] 99%
Installation: [|||||||||-] 90% (when is anyone's project ever REALLY done...)
yes... ALL my presets are saved in skin.ini
look at the radio skin in carwings reference skin
I DONT USE FMPRESET, and i recomend NOT using it, but to use the method in
the reference skin...
me too want things consolidated![]()
-Thanks
