i think for you to get a TA event, you have to have rds_tp indicator on
but dont expect any "action" the skin has to do the action
i could never test any of that stuff, cause in USA no one seems to used TA anymore
RDS is going away here...
Hi,
Apologies if this isn't a bug but I thought this was probably the best place to post this.
I'm not getting anything from the indicator "RDS_TP" and subsequently, although the button and indicator "RDS_TA" appears to toggle on and off, I'm not getting any TA action at all.
Am I going wrong with my skin coding somewhere or is there a bug?
Thanks

Just noticed that in the docs it says the indicators don't have the _ in them. Actually it's a bit confusing, which is right?
Edit; I think I get it. The flags don't have the _ but the indicator to show that it's toggled on and off do have it. I'll try that.
I'm happy to do any testing for this stuff over here as FM will be around for a long time yet in the UK.
yes... indicators
* "RDSTP" - Indicates the RDS TP (Traffic Program) flag [deprecaited "TP"]
* "RDSTA" - Indicates the RDS TA (Traffic Announcement) flag [deprecaited "TA"]

OK, finished the install so I'm turning my attention to this.
I've got the indicators working, well sort of. Two local radio stations that I tried showed the TP and TA indicators exactly as they should......
......but, the two largest national stations (radio 1 and 2) have the TA indicator on permanently and the TP indicator never (TP is possibly correct for these stations). This I know to be wrong from having these stations tuned into a HU.
Obviously all of this results in the tuner not switching to a station when the TA comes on.
Any ideas?
not sure what your saying/asking here
but the tuner will not switch when a TA comes on....
when TA happens, an Event occours ONTASTART
thats it...
since i dont have TA in usa on any radio stations, i never get to seem em my self

Hmm, makes sense and I guess the second tuner would have to be constantly scanning for TA signals then?
I'll see if I can find out more about this.
my question is, what station should it switch to?
with AF/EON and advanced RDS features it is possible to do this... but its out of the scope of the current silabs radio module...
