I cannot get the new version to show up ????

Hi.

I cannot seem to get the new version to show up in the screen.
While the old version plays perfectly, as soon as I switch to the newest version I have the following symptoms.
1. RR loads and runs in the background (with Ctrl+Alt+Del you can see it is running)
2. Winamp is loaded (system tray icon)
3. Gapa is loaded (system tray icon)
4. No skins are viewable.

Hey man, I've actually had this problem in one of my desktops after updating.... I believe all I had to do was:
-Delete all my INI files except MPC.INI
-Run RRConfig and set all options I wanted
-Re-run RR

Let me know if that doesn't do it for you...

I have tried your suggestion but nothing works.
If I change the .exe file with the old one then everything is ok.

Here's some things I'd try next:
-Disable Voice
-Try a different skin
-Try to install and download those two:

Looking at your log and my code, this is definitely a problem when trying to load the skin.. RR is freezing up for some reason... I believe the problem might be related to the Flash support so the two links above might help.

Please let me know how it goes because I definitely want to know what is the cause of that...

Well I tried out both installations but nothing helped. I still get the same symptoms.
I am using this at work now on a WIN98SE machine. I will run it later on in the day at home on my XP machine at let you know if it works out.

I'll try and run it on a Win96Se machine to see how it goes.. thanks for the info.

Well I just tried it at home on my XP machine and it work perfectly.
The Win98SE machine still refuses to work the newest version with flash support( I installed flash using yuor links,on this machine also).
All previous versions worked fine.

I'll definitely do some testing to try and find out why it doesn't run correctly in win98..

EDIT: this issue may be due to the flash support, would you care to try a non-flash version in that win98 ? pm me with your email if so.. also, I have not forgot about the foreign fonts support .. just hope to have some time to try it soon..
