Thread: Problems with built in video player

what kind of files are you trying to play ? I'd suggest trying to delete two files and re-run it: videos.m3u and video.ini

I first thought that you had to push "play" for it to work, now you're telling me it doesn't work at all ? I have warned people that the standard windows support for video does NOT play everything.. but for simple stuff MPG, AVI it works, most of the time.

It seems doesn't play .avi either stand-alone winamp... I'll try to reinstall it...

winamp 2.91 stand-alone work perfectly... RR doesn't....

What kind of AVI is it ? XVID, DIVX or what ? and what other type of file have you tried ?

Are both xvid and divx but till now it always played with mpc... Now it doesn't do anything. It don't freeze, block, simply it doesn't do anything
And when I press visualization button it gives me milk drop...
If I keep winamp opened on the right of RR I see that if I load an audio playlist in RR it appear also in winamp. If I load a video files winamp remains as before

It works fine with AVI. Anyone who used the built-in Mediacar video player and had that working OK should have no trouble with this one. It probably needs more codecs. FFdshow is one that usually covers everything.

Still it doesn't work and I sincerely don't know why... It seems not doing anything when I press play button...
I don't know if there's something about regional setting, comma instead of dot... what the hell........
