Finally someone that gave me a good description of the problem... I guess those with big fingers get this more often... when clicking any button in RR, if you let go of the mouse/screen OUTSIDE the area of the button, it will NOT execute button. This was intentional, as to allow for the user to cancel the command after pressing it... I can add an option to disable this check so that pressing a button will execute it regardless of where in the screen you let go of it...

i don't think that this is what's happening in my case because it happens even with the big buttons on the main menu. plus i don't have fat fingers. i'm going to try it with another computer just to check. i am installing my girlfriends carputer and doing some bondo work on another friends screen so i have plenty of parts to play with. i'll let you know what happens.

Here's the thing: if the button gets Highlighted, but doesn't execute, it MUST be because after pressing it, you've dragged the mouse through it.. I'll try to add that option to execute button regardless of where it comes out at.. then I'll post a try out version so you guys can test..

sorry guino...i just tried it again on my laptop with a brand new xenarc. same thing happens. and i'm sure i didn't drag the pointer outside of the button area. i tried it on the main menu where the buttons are huge. i can even do it with a stylus. i'm 100% sure i'm not going outside of the button area. hope you believe me.

when in windows or any other programs, touching on the first go executes a click. it's only in rr that this happens. tried it with a couple of different skins. same behaviour. can anyone else verify this? guino, do you have a touch screen? i'm going to try downloading different touch screen drivers, but i'm doubtful that it will do anything since this problem is only with roadrunner and does not happen in windows or in other apps.

I'm going to look into this deeply.. this may have happened when I allowed buttons to be within the Touchwheel.. sorry for the inconvenience..

Well i had road runner running pefectly, and then today I experienced this bug. Very weird. I am sure I am not clicking and then moving out of area. like other people here I press the button, it becomes highlighted and nothing happens, i press it again a second time and then it works. can't be a coincidence that it ALWAYS works on the second try. this happened to me mostly in the audio player page. its strange beccause it worked fine all week, now all of a sudden I get this. I tried restartring my computer several times, until finally it stopped doing it. now I shut down to hibernate. so i'm hjoping when I turn it back on it will behave itself. I'd be willing to give your theory a try guino, and see if you could give an option to "cancel" that feature you mentioned

btw I have road runner version 2-23-05 10:39 pm

p.s. I STILL get the problem of mouse not hiding after hibernation with this file. I was under the impression this version had something to fix it?
