That worked sweet,thanks Robby.
excellent find rob. will try it this evening
crap... I thought I posted my bit last night but apparently it didn't take.
What I was trying to post last night was that.. Not to be a downer, but the "Reset to original volume" was already check on my setup in Winamp. What was happening was whenever RR started it, 'something' was dropping the Winamp slider to 0, so I would have to switch to Winamp, raise the slider to 100, switch back to RR and the audio would work. Problem is when I exited RR, the Winamp volume would go back to 0, I assume because it was thinking that was the 'original' volume. The only way I could get things to work right, was opening Winamp, with RR CLOSED (not running at all), raising the slider volume to 100 and then closing Winamp. After doing that a few times it finally 'stuck/took'. lol and has worked ok since then. Not really sure what was causing the Winamp volume to drop to 0. I have RR configured to ONLY work with the Master Volume and it seems the Winamp slider volume was dealing with the WAV Volume.
After hacing a look at Rob's suggestion, i eralised i was using directsound output instead of the old wavout dll
I switched over, and checked the suggested option and it seems to have worked. I have only had 2 reboots since then, but they have both worked fine.
fingers crossed
@Griff1: Did you try the latest beta with the Exitmute option ?
Ride Runner RR's Myspace
"Being happy is not about having what you want, it's about wanting what you have."
"The best things in life are always free - but that doesn't mean money can't buy you good things."
When the above solution was posted I was tempted to say I'd already tried that and it hadn't worked, but by then the new beta was available, which does work. Thanks G.
although I will add I never had an issue with the volume within RR, it was just the muting on exit that I had. (unless I had the volume control open and maximised)
Do i need to change the RoadRunner.exe to RR.exe or doesn't it matter,i'm not using the Google bit.
mines started doing it again dammit!
Will try the beta exe
