I dont know why but certain songs are titled wrong in rr only and rr hangs when I try to change to the next song with the forward arrow.. I have to close rr, open winamp and change to another song, then switch back to rr and enjoy. If I let the song play all the way through it will switch to the next on its own no problem. I think it has something to do with the mp3 tags but what is an easy way to correct my song titles in large numbers, not one at a time?
I'd recommend something like TAG&Rename... in any case, can you give examples of file names that do that ? If you want to determine if it is the file name or the ID3 tag,simply turn the ID3 Tag reading off in RRconfig and then try and see if it freezes...
It is weird that it only hangs when you press "next".. RR only reads the ID3 tags when displaying them on the playlist, so if it was to hang would be when first showing or when scrolling the playlist..

Yeah, it didn't seem like it should do that. I thought it was winamp that was the problem so I removed winamp and did a fresh install and still the same problems. I named all my files by changing the file names in windows but I think the tag info on some of the newly downloaded mp3's is possibly corrupt. The ones that make it hang show up as numbers even though the filename is correct. I will try that tag program and see what happens.
hi, had the same problem with mediacar.
the solution was chaning the id3 tags, because some characters like %, &... forced the program to die
