RR Crash: MM not found or not listening

Guino I am increasingly getting a Road Runner crash with the above runtime error alert box message.

It happens when I have visited the Music screen selected an album and started playing the songs. I then move back through the main menu launch Map Monkey, and as the program initialises I get the crash.
It leaves Map Monkey and winamp running normally with Road Runner shut down.

If I then shut down Map Monkey and re-start Road Runner, with winamp still running, I can usually re-start Map Monkey for the second time sucessfully without the runtime error.

I'm using BrushedMetal skin with full RR updates. I think this problem started about two RR updates ago.

Any idea what is happening ?

yeah... I'm looking into a few issues.. I've already fixed that one but I'm trying to prevent a few other weird things I've been seeing.. you can try this "patch" for now:
