I'll look at it, but most likely all I can do is remove those so that the file can be processed correctly.
Hi Guino,
when using FreeDB most compilation (such as VH1 Divas Live), that have various artists the cd comes in this format:
Artist: Various Artists
Album: VH1 Divas Live
Genre: Pop
Songs:
Cher / Believe
artist / Song
etc / etc
this poses a problem... CDRip doesnt give an error but just ignores RIP1 and RIPALL... if I manually edit each title in CDRip to remove the "/" it works... can you put a verification into CDRip for the unallowed windows characters for filenames?
Unallowed chars in windows file/dir names:Code:" / \ * ? < > : |

Any ideas for putting a PC in this? :)

Would it be possible to add a ini command, or just an auto-replace for all these invalid character to replace with a hyphen? "-"

that would make songs tiltled like:
"What kind of love are you on?"
to be renamed to:
"What kinf of love are you on-"
just as it would probably cause other issues here and there depending of the song title.

That'd be because of the infinite improbability drive requested on the other thread..Originally Posted by Enforcer
