Thread: Volume Control in RR Video BROWSER Causing RR to Crash and Close

which skin are you using ?

My own. I'm using the same volume commands etc as in all the other skins in my skin (almost every "page" of the skin has the same volume control on it). This is why I cannot understand why this is happening.

volume controls normally don't have any affect whatsoever on skins/video or anything like that. It only affects the mixer. If you can send me at list your video player skin so I can try it out, I'll be able to tell more.. (my frp is on the skins list thread, my email is on my profile)

Do you by any chances have issues with volume changing during video with other skins ??

I understand what you're saying about RR only changing the mixer. Perhaps for some reason in this particular skin the volume commands are sending key commands to RR itself.

I have the skin running on two completely different machines (my desktop and my carPC) and both do the same thing. I cannot test this in other skins as the other skins I have do not have a volume control within the video browser.

If it helps with diagnosing - the green text in top right of the screen appears saying "Full" (just like when changing the screen orientation in the video player) jsut before it closes.

Upon further inspection:
I can adjust the volume fine by pressing the actual slider. I can also use the mute button. When pressing either the volume up or volume down buttons however, on first press the green text comes up, then on the second press RR closes. There are no errors or runtim faults, it just simply exits.

Got your skin running in the car and I'll try it out on my end and see if I get the same thing, haven't used that particular skin/button combo yet.

That was a bug allright.. I've fixed it for next release -- no skin changes need to be done on your side.
