Wrap and scroll label problem - no matter what height, only shows two lines at a time

I'll just let the screenshot do the speaking... the scrolling label control is as high as the rest of the black box. Doesn't change the end result when I change what font I'm using or what alignment. The text is enough to fill up about 4 lines.

I'll double check but I'm pretty sure it works as long as you define the appropriate height..

try making the width smaller and see if it works.. I never really worked that hard on that object since it's use was so limited and so little. You may be better off using a little flash script. Or I can try and fix the issue if you give me enough details.

Changing width or font size did not fix it. I also tried cutting and pasting your post and making the label a =fixed label. The screenshot I posted is with it using a custom label I modded into the source code. however, I tried a =fixed label with the unmodified RR (5-02 binary) and still got the same issue - only two lines of text would show at a time.

The line in the skin file is as follows:
    Code:
    L,73,115,654,135,163,201,255,14,"Arial Narrow:B","news_story","SCROLL-LEFT"
When I took out my custom code "news_story" and put in
    Code:
L,73,115,654,135,163,201,255,14,"Arial Narrow:B","=try making the width smaller and see if it works.. I never really worked that hard on that object since it's use was so limited and so little. it did not make a difference, neither with mine nor the unmodified binary

interesting... I'd have to take a look.. if you download the alpine or mediacar skin you'll see that it works.

I'm afraid not... both the Alpine skin and the original Mediacar skin exhibit the same problem. These screenshots were done from an untouched version of the 5-02 release:

I'm thinking it may have to do with the text comming from witihn the skin itself instead of being set later on when using the skin. Did you try it at the audio browser at all ? (that's where I was suggesting you to try the alpine/MC skins -- they have support for displaying any .txt in the folders)
