Music playing when resuming from Standby

Hi Guino, when a song is playing half way, I switched off my ignition which will put my CarPC in sleep mode. When I switched it back on, the PC resumes from sleep mode. However, the music will play from the beginning for few seconds before it jumps forward to where it was playing before it goes into standby mode. Can this be fixed?

not really, this is a matter of winamp reponding to the play/seek commands to resume the last position.

Not sure if this will help... Maybe you can explore muting winamp volume first, issue Play and Seek command to winamp then unmute winamp volume.

Thanks. I wouldn't mind the music not playing EXACTLY where it left off (+- couple of secs) but it playing from the start and then suddenly playing from the middle (due to SEEK) can be quite irritating when resuming from standby when I start my car.

I added a mute while seeking.

Hi Guino, your lastest July release seems to have (almost) fix the problem. It no longer starts playing from the beginning and then abruptly jump to where it last played.
However, if I pause my music before switching off the ignition (ie putting the PC in standby mode), the next time I start the car, the music automatically resume playing. I believe you need to add a check to see if the music was previously stopped or paused, and after you performed the seek operation, you put the Winamp back to the previous mode.

this has already been discussed, if you dont want the music to start automatically, you should STOP it before suspending. If you PAUSE it, then it will RESUME playing as you have set it to ALWAYS resume.
