Displayed Song doesn't always match actual song playing

RR is awesome! I'm working on my own skin. My skin uses a directory browser to allow the user to navigate and find my mp3's. I find the playlist paradigm very difficult to use, so my skin uses this simpler directory browser interface.

The problem is that sometimes the directory browser sometimes become unsynchronized with the label that displays the current song info. Here's an example:
    \80's
    -------\madonna
    -------\blondie

If I queue up the entire 80's directory, it'll properly add all the subdirectories to the playlist. If a song located within \80's is played, the directory browser will properly show \80's and the song is highlighted, and displayed in the song info label at the top. However, if the next playing song is inside \80's\blondie, the song title will properly display, but the directory browser will stay highlighted with the last \80's song that was played.

you may want to search.. I'm pretty sure I added an option for that awhile ago.. but I can't remember what it is right now..

    Guino, thanks for replying.

I've seen the option that you have. I forgot what it is called too. I think it was "keep directory synched" or something like that. Anyways, that feature does work. What I'm referring to is that it works only with files in the current directory. If you queue a file that is nested in a subdirectory, it will play the song, but it will not update the directory window.

I'm customizing the BAV2 skin for my Carputer. Here's my skin if you wouldn't mind testing this issue out. Select a directory that has a few subdirectories and/or is several levels deep. You'll have to use CTRL+ENTER to queue a directory and subdirectories since my skin is optimized for an infrared control and a touchscreen.

    Thanks!

Guino, here's another issue I encountered along the same lines...

If I add an entire directory + subdirectories using "!SELECT", only songs from the 1st level of the directory are shown in Song Name labels or highlighted in the file/directory browser. In this screenshot, although it shows the Tiffany song, it's actually playing a Madonna song that it's in a subdirectory.

"directory browsing" was basically a TWEAK made to work with the skins made by RoyN.. I can't guarantee in any way that it will work well with anything else. I can suggest you to use the "RELOADLIST" command when the list of songs doesn't match what's playing.

Hmmm... I guess that would assume I somehow programmatically knew that they didn't match. Does RR generate an event everytime the next track comes up? In order for this to work, I would assume that it would mean that when the "next song" event was fired (notional name), that the "RELOADLIST" method would need to be run. How can I do this in a skin without user intervention?
