    PLFORMAT problem

    I'm not sure if it's a bug but it is sure as hell bugging me!

    I've been getting some help with my skin from JohnWPB and I've got a problem. I'm trying to get the playlist to change it's format from Title to Title-Artisit to Artist-Title. I got the commands from JohnWPB and they work great, at first.

    /, B, x, y, w, h, Command;COMMANDCODES, Tooltip
    B,661,306,128,66,"PLFORMAT;%title%||SWITCHBUTTON;1 >>PLFORMAT;%artist%-%title%||SWITCHBUTTON;1>>PLFORMAT;%title%-%artist%||SWITCHBUTTON;1","view"

    Yes this is the first button defined in the skin so SWITCHBUTTON;1 should be working, right?

    The problem is that this won't work after Road Runner has been restarted, hibernated, shutdown etc. I found that clearing the playlist from within RR and adding some tracks allows it to work until RR is shutdown and the problem repeats once RR is started. Since I can repeat the problem but it works at first I though it might be a bug. Any thoughts or tips?

    Thanks
    Mike

    Playlist format problem

    I think you are right Mikey.... I had really only used the sorting on my Browser screen with the DLFORMAT command, as I am addding songs to the playlist, and it works perfectly every time.

    On the playlist screen however with the PLFORMAT command, I can not get the button to work at all. I have ensured that the button order is 100% correct (In my case the button is the 10th one assigned, and have the code set accordingly).

    I have also copied and pasted the code that is working in my browser skin, switching out just the DLFORMAT with PLFORMAT, into the play list skin to ensure the code was 100% without a doubt correct.

    There definately seems to be something strange going on....

    I'm glad it wasn't just me! I haven't tried it yet on the browser skin but I may be changing my skin a little so I might not need the command afterall. I also tried it in my car on the VIA M10000 and it acts the same there as well. So the problem appears on my IBM tablet and the Via, both running XP but one running WINAMP 5.21 and the car running 5.24 and both exhibit the same problem.

    Thanks
    Mike

    Regarding the PLFORMAT command, it was never meant to work by itself.. once you use it, you need to do a "RELOADLIST" command to make it reload the playlist in the new format.
