    Unhappy Freezing on startup.

i am using the 11/12/06 version of roadrunner installed with webmasters installer. This is sitting on a windows 2000 pro with via MII-12000 motherboard. When i start roadrunner it sits there saying starting winamp.
I checked the task manager and rr is running at 99%. winamp is started. i unchecked "hide winamp" in rrconfig so i could be sure it was starting up (i am using winamp 2.95). I have left this running all night and it is still at the same screen. i have to kill the rr process then kill and restart explorer. has anyone any ideas what is causing this. I have phonecontrol, windvd, mediaplayer classic, map monkey & freedrive, d-link usb fm radio installed. All of these work when run on there own.

If some one could help i would appreciate it. thanks.

Just a thought, but as you are using windows 2000, you may need to update your VBRuntime files. I am not even certain if this is the problem or not, but it's one thing to rule out if it's not.

Follow the High CPU/Unresponsive Buttons/Flash issues faq and try again. Some machines just freeze when Flash is completely missing.

Hmm, I'm having the same issues. I updated to XP SP2 and now RR won't go past "Starting Winamp". Happens even on a completely clean RR install. Does RR keep a log somewhere so I can get a better idea of exactly what it is hanging on?

Edit: Found debugmode, nothing useful from my perspective though :-/

I've tried with flash player installed, and without. With Winamp installed, and without. I don't have phoco installed or configured. I'm not sure where to go from here :-/ RR gets to the point below, then ramps the CPU up to 100% and stops there.

I did a fresh install of windows xp - installed the new-est road runner,
worked with my old skin, tried the CrystalBlue_Skin and the clock looked
funky, so I used the flash uninstaller, and downloaded the new flash and installed, now it just locks up,
