What he said. You can't have multiple programs use the same gps port. Use a com port splitter like xport. Running fine on my carpc.

    1. Is that the correct path to the program exe?

if so does that application actually start up

    2. If it does start then check the window name is correct, look for an app called winspector to help find it.

Well if you have external checked and the correct path in there, then issuing a GPS command should start the exe.

If it doesn't then one of the following apply

    1. It is not the correct path.

    2. The GPS command has possibly been hijacked in an exectbl.ini

3.You are not issuing the GPS command but possiblt a direct load;external_gps.skin command.

    4. There is a conspiracy to stop you using this GPS app.

i got this thing working . there was some problem in my laptop running vista not lettimg me to chage the file. so i ran it on my desktop running xp and worked.

but now i havea little problem. i dont want to use the skin's button i want to use the butons which are with the software.

and the skin is chopping the gps screen from bottom. i have attached the pictures to compare, how it looks and how it should look.

Looks like it is not letting you resize it small enough.

in the external_gps.skin you can change the c (clip) line

    c,x,y,w,h

make the h value higher, problem is, if you lose those bottom buttons you will not have a way of exiting that screen
