What does this acheive? I tried it and it shows RR running on top with iguidance in the backround, not embedded.Quote:

Now my experience is all on pre windows 7 boxes.
I'm not sure if windows 7 has brought any of it's usual issues with embedding apps like it does with audio and some other display quirks.
Make sure aero is off.
Check the iGuidance window name with something like winspector just to make sure it is correct (newer version may be different from the older versions, unlikely but possible)
Try it with iGuidance native unchecked.
try it without menu and just as external app and have a button execute the GPS command, hell just use skintool to send the GPS command.
It embedded when I had external checked...not sure why but it works!

I've found the "GPS Window Name" for a few GPS programs for Ride Runner.
If Map Monkey doesn't work correctly using it built in like it did for me and you want to use it as a external GPS program instead the information is:
Map Monkey
GPS Window Name = Map Monkey
Roadnav
GPS Window Name = RoadNav
Navit
GPS Window Name = Navit
Delorme Street Atlas 2008
GPS Window Name = DeLorme
Hello. I'm new to this forum, but have spent countless hours reading this forum on setting up a carpc as my system.
I've got mostly everything set up already. The only issue I'm having is getting the iGuidance 2011 application to launch and embed in RR.
RR Config does not have a GPS Path option. Below is an image of the RR Config window.

If you launch iGuidance first and RR after. Then the Navigation buttons in RR will work with iGuidance, but iGuidance runs in the background. Which defeats the purpose.
The threads I've read contain helpful information, but I don't see people having issues with the latest iGuidance and RR apps.
Any help would be greatly appreaciated.
