First off I would like to thank mitchjs for making the RR installer so easy. But to make things even easier I was proposing to add some installation instructions. I looked into the How to install Road Runner thread and noticed it was a bit dated. So I'm not really sure what the best option would be, updating that thread, posting the information in the Road Runner Installer Thread, or to post it in the wiki or a combination of all three.

This is meant to be a "Installing Ride Runner for Dummies" type of guide. Just to basically get the newbies up an running.

Optional (GPS Related)

Frequent Setup Questions
Q: Where do I get skins?
A: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-skins/ http://files.joat.co.nz/roadrunner/

Q: Do I HAVE to specify a Night Skin?
A: No, it's optional, but recommended -- even if you don't plan to use it.

Q: Does the Playlist Path matter? Is there a best Practice? Like should they not be in the same directory as your music path?
A: The playlist path is simply where RR looks for you .pls or .m3u playlist files, it shouldn't matter which folder you pick

Q: Where does RR look for Album Art?
A: RR looks for a jpg in the folder where the mp3 file is located. More info HERE and HERE

Q: Is there a complete list of what DLL should be registered or is this skin specific?
A: Both the InstallShield and RRConfig will automatically register any DLLs required for you. If a Skin requires a specific DLL/Plugin for certain functions, it will likely be described when you download the skin.
