Ok have tried everything possible to replicate your problem with scrolling in RideRunner and I can not do it. It just works for me.

My development machine are running Win7 and using an FTDI USB<->UART bridge connected to a old resler RS232 interface. Today I was pushing it in almost an hour without any problem at all.

The Car PC are using XP SP3 and the onboard Com port connected direct to Ibus interface. This config has been running almost a year now with no performance issue at all and last week I did 1570km in 2 days with one 7hours non stop drive - no problem at all.


One idea is if you using the newer V6 or V6a Resler interface with Silicon labs bridge since there are some bugs in the older drivers that could cause the problem. That's why i ask what interface and driver version your using.
So pls check what interface version you have and drivers.

I am using V6 USB resler interface and windows device manager is reporting driver version 5.4.24.0 07/07/2009 by Rolf Resler, will post a video of the problem tomorrow so you can see what we mean.

Pls also try with a updated driver, latest one is 6.3a now

A lot of bugs has been fixed since july 2009.

I tried using the newer 6.3 drivers for the resler interface and it appears that they have 'broken' my resler interface (well the drivers anyway) it appears that the V6 USB adapter does not support the 6.3 silabs drivers, I had to modify the driver installer to get it to install but the drivers do not appear to support the adapter......back to the drawing board im afraid, i have emailed Rolf directly to see if he has any more up to date drivers.

Sorry for my late reply but I have been away for a while. I will check which setup I am using. It is a USB adapter from Resler but I don't know what driver I am using I will have to check that. I am using Windows XP SP3. The seem setup is running smoothly with IBusRR than I am not experiencing the scrolling problem. So I don't understand it at all.

I thinks my last post didn't work because I can't find it on ths thread. I have checked which driver I am using and it is the same as Matt also 5.4.24.0 07-07-2009 by Resler with the V6 USB interface. I am using Windows XP SP3. Now is my question do you think that the problems I am experiencing are gonna be solved by using th updated driver 6.3a? Because when I read the post of Matt about the driver that has broken his interface I am not so sure I to use that driver....

The 6.3a drivers doesn't support the resler v6 interface and the drivers didnt break the interface it just caused problems with the drivers, my v6 interface was physically faulty and i have sent it back to rolf

Okay thanks for the reply... but than the problem of the scrolling is still not solved.... Because when you say that the 6.3a drivers doesn't support the v6 interface there isn't another more updated than the 5.4.24.0 driver. But this one is not running smoothly and causes the scrolling problem:S Or do you think that the problem you had experienced was caused by the interface itself....
Did you already recieved a new interface? when I have time I will install the new drivers and test it with the 6.3a driver.

Hi Nick,
Yes i think so. You never know, but my guess is either a driver problem or HW problem with the interface.
