I am not going to publish the site I am using because that will be the quickest way to have page changed and the plugin will need to be changed or altered to stop us using this way.

iGuidance needs a hacked version of iG and the Gasnav autoit script done originally by Sonicxtacy02.

Sygic is a case of sending a load of keystokes to it. and which ones to send depends on which version of sygic, and what screen layout you have.

iG08 is a KML file (basically a google earth XML file) saved in the correct location (This was orginally done for a guy in Germany and his FE and I think needs iG08 to be restarted)

If you have a particular navigation engine in mind I can give you more details for that one.

Are you getting the Aussie info via IE or a chrome plugin?
Does this mean you use one of the above gps engines, feed it a lat/long (via KML file) from gps dongle, then gps engine gives you a postecode?

If so, are we able to obtain other data from igo, such as current suburb etc?

sorry for the hijack Michael. I think this is an interesting project. Cant wait to have fuel prices for Au!

No you feed it lat/lon via KML and you get a POI you can bring up in the GPS software.

I still don't get how you get post code from the lat/long as a poi in a gps engine. And once obtained, how does that post code return to your plugin? Just trying to learn from the masters

    I understand what you mean.

We use the internet to convert the lat/log to postcode and vise versa.

once we have a pertol station lat/lon we then feed it into the GPS software for guidance.

It's also possible to use the GPS2City within RR (I think it's now a plugin), you would just need to compile a zips.dat file for your country.

post 10 in that thread has a link to postcode files for a number of countries.

I used the internet because it was assumed the internet was available for the rest of the plugin to work.

    Hi Michael,

Great work, I am very interrested with your plugin, I have been in touch with Enforcer on his forum for the Australian prices, but I'm guessing the website I provided didn't have the right data or it was tricky to achieve.

I am not sure if you still need testers, but I would love to give it a go, I am using DFX5 so your skin file would do nicely

    Cheers,
