I decided at the start of the year to get my feet wet and get my head around the Riderunner SDK and plugin creation.
I have used Riderunner for years and have loved all the plugins that have come along but due to the number or coders for riderunner are not from Australia there are not alot that support Australia very well.
So I love Enforces fuel plugin but there is no Australian support so I decided to creat my own just for Australian Riderunner users.
I will also create plugins down the track for all to use
The data has been hard to find as many of the Australian fuel search web sites are not very good.
I have not added some of the extreem features Enforces plugin has and tried to keep it to one single skin.
* Search via postcode
* Get postcode via GPS
* Display Klm's to each Petrol Station
* Search for 1.Unleaded 2.Deisel 3.LPG 4.E10
* GPS dongle setup under RR config to make use of the GPS to Postcode function.
* Internet for price search
I have for now only created a skin under my DFX Facelift skin but will create a Carwings as well.
I would like some beta testers so if you have the required hardware and would like to help me help others then message me.
Hope to have a release version ASAP!
Welcome to the mad world of ever changing websites.
Just had to totally change the Danish one and 'tweak' the UK code this week, and while doing so did look at Australia again, but I couldn't even get the site you linked me to to give any prices, just kept saying 'expanding your search ares'.
Guess it must have recognised I was not an Aussie IP.
I will keep trying though because if I can add it to the RR one it will also work for CF as well.
Good luck with this plugin.
I come to the realisation that the code will always need updating as the site changes but as you would know if you are going to create a plugin you may as well let other use it.
Would love to know how you went about uploading the data to the different GPS programs.
Well each one different.
FreeDrive is easy becasue I have the source and have added a command so it can receive GPS coords. But it's based on an old Destinator 3 engine so not many people will still use it.
iGuidance needs a hacked version of iG and the Gasnav autoit script done originally by Sonicxtacy02.
Sygic is a case of sending a load of keystokes to it. and which ones to send depends on which version of sygic, and what screen layout you have.
iG08 is a KML file (basically a google earth XML file) saved in the correct location (This was orginally done for a guy in Germany and his FE and I think needs iG08 to be restarted)
If you have a particular navigation engine in mind I can give you more details for that one.
Are you getting the Aussie info via IE or a chrome plugin?
Actually scrub that last question, I was looking at a different site that someone else gave me.
Just re-checked the PM you sent (that has been open on a tab since you sent it)
I think I dismissed it because the postcode isn't exact so you are not navigatiing to exactly that station but to the general area, unless you can navigate by street name ( I normally send GPS coords as it easier and less likely to throw a not recognised error or give you a multitude of different options)
Freedrive iGuidance & Sygic are not much good maps wise in Australia so Igo8 & Garmin are the most used so they would be the two I would want to import to.
I am using IE with the webbrowser control in VB.net as I did start doing the plugin in VB6 but the web functionality under .net is much better after playing.
I still have a hell of a lot to learn about how things are done with the SDK as what I did for the searching overlay text was add an extra form and colored the background red with no borders and set the key color to red I then read in the showheight and show width to set the form size.
Well for sygic you need a KML/XML file like so
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<name>BP AA Kingsbury</name>
<coordinates> 6.298629, 51.528615,0</coordinates>
placed in Igo8\content\userdata\poi\Fuel.kml
I haven't tried with Garmin. actually I did, can't remember what the outcome was, but again I think that is a series of sendkeys.
What website are you using? I gave E a list of sites ages ago, but they wern't any good to get the info from.
Actually just noticed you have different postcodes for the stations, so you can't be using the link you gave me. Hmmm?
What site is it looking at? "removed"
Been after something like this for a while.
