Thread: RRDroid [phone control for Android phones]

I had a hard time getting omega skin to work in riderunner so if it wasnt broke never fixed it lol.
I have it running in riderunner, bluetooth connected to callcenter but when i start road runner it shuts down callcenter.
when callcenter is running the bluetooth icon in rrdroid test doesnt light up

do you get a list of contacts , cc is closed on rr start suppose to ,, main do you get a list

yes my contacts are listed in call center only. when I click on phone in carwings I get nothing

when i call my cell nothing shows up on the computer, bluetooth is on in carwings but nothing pops up

please donwload the latest RR version, be sure to not open callcenter while RR is running, and yes, callcenter needs to be closed first, so the pi closes callcenter if is open whenstarting RR.

i downloaded the latest rr version 12/1/12. i closed callcenter restarted rr bluetooth icon lights up but still no phone contacts. callcenter works great outside of rr

if the bt icon lights up now then its working,, hit phone from the menu , and you may have to wait a few sec's as the pi collects your contacts list , call log, and sms list , there is sometime a short delay , on first run ,
you don't have to manully close cc , the pi will do that for you ...

when you installed the latest rr was it a complete fresh install not over write old roadrunner,, also if using w7 then most likely you are now in profile mode , so folders get moved about, between c:/ and my documents,, i think from memory , skins and pi's go into documents riderunner .

I am running xp pro sp2, I will try and uninstall road runner and the rrdroid pi delete files and start pi install all over. When I would hit phone nothing would come up, ill try n wait a little longer n see what happens. All of the skin files for riderunner got installed in my documents, thats where I put the pi but did not install it originally from there.

when I click on phone am I suppose to be brought to another skin?

A command like "RRDroid_Call;Home" so one can use "OSKTOCMD;Name;RRDRoid_Call;$Name$" will be useful, the only drawback being, I believe, that then you cannot go to contacts details and choose a specific number be it a landline or mobile etc.

If we could find a command like "SEARCHLIST" (which I understand searches through a list of songs in the audio_player skin - but this songs list is not a custom list) then we could locate a name in the list of displayed contacts and then either dial it immediately or use the "RRDroid_GetContactInfo" command to display the various telephone numbers of that particular name and choose which one to call.
