Another Tire Pressure Monitor Plugin
I know there is already a solution for TPMS, but it did not really fit my needs. My Carputer is in a Class B RV, and I run E-rated tires which can take tire pressure up to 80 PSI. So the current unit had limits on the sensors available. This led me to search for another solution. I ended up with PressurePro at: http://advantagepressurepro.com/
Pressure Pro is geared for RVís and Big Rigs. They have three different units that all are RS232 capable.
Pressure Pro 10
Pressure Pro 16
Pressure Pro 34
There are warnings for low tire pressure 12%, and 25%, High temperature, Low Battery Sensor, and also the plugin monitors for lost sensors.
The pressure pro tire sensors replace your existing valve caps, which make installation pretty easy. The plugin also has a setup routine to learn the sensors and nominal setpoints each tire sensor has.
The sensors go for about $50.00 each. The monitors are about $180.00 to $225.00. The RS232 cable is about $15.00. I use this in my camper, and I am about 90% code complete. The Pressure Pro 10 can be used for your standard 4 Tire car
