I'll keep trying it to see if I can get it working. I'll let you know how I get on,
Pete
This is very cool. I have one question though. Is it possible (in the .exe's or something) to create a button to disable the wireless adapter and reinable it? I'm working on a Shock skin and to have the simplistic layout, I am going to put two "values" in a button, but I would like the button to be functional, if that makes sense. Is it doable in a simple code or can the exe be updated to allow that?
i think is doable, i'll see what i can do, i had that idea while i was doing this you know like a "repair connection" button, windows disables and re-enables the card to reset it. drop the towel when some issues come out, now that we have custom lists i might redo the code in this one. and add that.
awesome. Also, I'm having an issue. if I just straight up copy your skin file over, the status buttons work, but I don't get the wifi manager. same thing with my custom skin.

the size and location of the /a line I haven't fully adjusted yet. I "assumed" that's the window the wireless connection manager loads in, but I don't know.Quote:

make sure to have windows as you wifi manager. dont use anything else. double check letter by letter the name of your card.Code:"WIRELESS","LOAD;wireless.skin;WIFI;$SKINPATH$wireless.exe;Wireless Network Connection||SETTOPMOST;RR;TRUE"
for loading the wifi_man i use,(watch the last command)
Code:"ONSKINSTART","SETBTNS||SETLBLS||WELCOME_1||RUN;$SKINPATH$drivemon.exe||RUN;$SKINPATH$wifi_man.exe"
awesome. moved the area to the sixth line and the wireless manager fills the box. Copied your exectbl and no more error. Looks good. Now lets get on that enable/disable wifi controller ;) hah
thanks for an EXCELLENT program. I was disappointed in a couple programs I've tried that showed when connected to wifi through an icon, but didn't let you change networks easily.
EDIT:
had some spare time and i added the commands to the wifi_man.exe, with improved error trapping. download again the package for a full install. don't forget to read the README.txt
Sweet! thanks for the enable/disable feature. that kicks ***.
Okay, having issues again. replaced wifi_man and wireless.exe with updated versions, replaced exectbl line with new line and changed the exe location name (that's it). When I load the wireless skin, I get the wifi_man, but none of the buttons work and I don't get any "status" labels to show up.
I think the issue might be with devcon and the fact that the wireless card I have doesn't have a dev value. Under device id I have:
USB\VID_13B1&PID_000B\5&1DD5D721&0&1
Hi!
I downloaded the latest "wifi_man" package, and did as in the readme.
But the wireless manager don't fill the box.
When I loaded the wireless skin, in the background it loads the "network connections" page ???, and the system hangs up. Only the task manager can help to close wireless.exe (after this the system speed is ok)
What's wrong?
